The bunk bed, the solution to optimize the space in the bedroom
The bunk bed is a design piece of furniture that stimulates exploration and imagination: for many it is an obligatory choice, for reasons of space. It is certainly a model that, taking advantage of verticality, saves space and makes even those who are no longer children become children because it gives the sensation of being in a box protected above everything or in a secret den in which to take refuge to always invent new games.
It is an ideal type of bed for brothers or sisters, as it is for two. Often, for safety reasons, the top bed has a side, which can be classic or original in its shape.
To reach the upper bed you need a ladder: the classic ladder has long been the only possible version that allowed access to the bed above, but a more functional and versatile way of doing this has long been found: the container staircase. It is a useful trick to reach the bed placed high up and to collect objects or linen.
There are many versions in which the bunk bed is declined: the most common is the one with two mattresses of the same size, placed directly on top of each other following the same orientation, but there are bedrooms in which the beds are arranged differently, that is, at a right angle: this allows you to carve out a small space to put a bedside table, a shelf or a desk.
If the lower bed is not always used, it can become a sofa.
These beds are made with different materials but the most reliable are those in wood and steel because they offer more guarantees in terms of safety and stability.
We offer bunk beds that embody colorful and creative compositional solutions in line with families' need for practicality.
