Sustainability: Giessegi’s environmental commitment
22 April is Earth Day, an annual event that points the spotlight on the environment and its sustainability.
In its everyday activities, Giessegi is committed to meeting this need, by continuously enhancing its green production process, with the aim of creating furniture items using environmentally friendly materials.
Renewable energy
A few details:
- 4000 kW of photovoltaic panels;
- Giessegi laboratories powered 100% via solar energy.
Sustainable choices that meet up to 80% of the production line’s energy needs and help to reduce the use of methane in heating the company’s production facilities.
Water-based paints and recycled polyester fabrics
Our attention to sustainability is highlighted by our use of water-based paints without chemical solvents, reducing environmental impact and improving air quality in production plants. Furthermore, the use of recycled polyester fabrics allows us to give new life to waste materials, promoting a circular economy model in the furniture sector.
Ecological Panel
In its furniture items, Giessegi uses the Ecological Panel, a chipboard panel made of 100% recycled wood. An innovative material that allows us to conserve natural resources but also to offer consumers high-quality furniture, while actively assisting with protecting the environment.
In a world increasingly attentive to sustainability, Giessegi’s commitment to combining design, quality and respect for the environment represents a concrete step towards a greener and more responsible future.
